OmniLive

Overview

Live workflows, sometimes referred to as Live Sync or OmniLive in Omniverse, allows users to collaborate on the same content from various applications such as Omniverse USD Composer, or Connectors such as Maya, Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, and more. Live workflows are non-destructive in Omniverse, meaning that edits that are made during a session are not committed to the base files until explicitly making a decision to do so, making artists free to explore and collaborate. Once the Live Session is completed and merged to the original base file, then a destructive operation occurs because the changes are committed to the original file.

The updated Live workflows outlined in this document are intended to provide users with more awareness about who they are working with and what is being modified in a given Live Session.
