Release Date: June 2026

This release expands supported Revit versions and improves USD export performance, stability, material interoperability, and settings persistence.

Added#

  • Connector now supports Japanese-language editions of Windows 11

  • Unicode characters in BIM data are now preserved in exported USD

  • External material libraries and family assets can now be authored as USD payloads or references

  • USD Preview Surface materials are now authored alongside MDL materials for broader OpenUSD material compatibility

  • A developer export API is now available for building custom Revit-to-OpenUSD export workflows

  • Revit 2025 and 2026 support; Revit 2024 remains supported

  • Coordinate system export option with support for Internal Origin, Project Base Point, Survey Point, and Shared Coordinates

  • In-product guidance for drawing export behavior and requirements

Removed#

  • Revit 2023 Support

  • Live Synchronization

  • Send to Omniverse

Improved#

  • Material textures referenced through Nucleus paths now resolve and copy correctly

  • Install or uninstall the connector independently for each supported Revit version

  • Improved Settings guidance for material libraries and USD file composition

  • Settings now clearly indicate that lights are exported without instancing

  • Export logs now include elapsed conversion time and the selected export options

  • Improved export performance, particularly for large scenes

  • USD Preview Surface textures now use repeat tiling by default

  • Custom export settings now persist after using Save As

  • Unsupported curve geometry and invalid input are skipped so the remaining model can continue exporting

Fixed#

  • Security and stability improvements

  • UTF-8 names and display names are now preserved in exported USD

  • Japanese-language Revit exports now use the same USD hierarchy as English-language exports

  • Looks and materials are now authored as siblings of mesh prims instead of as their children

  • Revit level elements no longer produce invalid-material warnings

  • Custom names for the main USD Xform are now applied correctly

  • Sun position is no longer inverted

  • The Select button in Settings no longer causes the connector to freeze

  • Improved Publish View reliability for very large projects and projects with multiple linked Revit files

  • Corrected material texture paths for instanced families

  • Material texture paths remain valid when exporting multiple views

  • Canceling an export no longer causes the connector to hang

  • File Composition selections now persist with export settings

  • Fixed material export failures when a property has multiple connected texture assets

  • Completed and canceled exports no longer leave stale USD stage data

  • Switching between Materials and Families no longer leaves the mapping controls in an invalid state

  • Material and family mappings now persist correctly between sessions

  • Export to JSON now includes user-defined material mappings

  • Output and Batch export settings now save correctly

  • Corrected mirrored geometry orientation

  • Corrected asset-swap scaling

  • Corrected double scaling for instanced families

  • Instance Families no longer creates duplicate meshes when a view section box is active

  • Materials are no longer missing when exporting to Nucleus

  • Corrected exported mesh normals

  • Linked file names no longer contain unwanted spaces

  • Creating a folder on Nucleus no longer causes the connector to hang

  • Corrected exported IES light profile paths

  • Corrected exported disk and rectangular light orientations

  • Drawing export now detects partial registration marks across a larger search area
