User Interface#

Connecting to Kit Applications (Local)#

To connect the Omnvierse SketchUp Connector Plugin to the Kit application, a user must locate their installation of the Kit Application and select it in the Omnvierse SketchUp Connector Plugin Settings.

  1. Select the Settings.

  2. Enable Send to Locally Installed Viewer toggle and select either a past installation of a Kit application, or Use Current to use the most current installed version.

  3. Press “Save” in the resulting settings window to commit the changes.

User Interface#

The Omnvierse SketchUp Connector brings SketchUp projects into the Omniverse Platform. The panel shown below contains all the tools necessary for day-to-day operations with the SketchUp Connector.

Send to Omniverse and Publish as project will be Deprecated. This functionality and the settings for them will be removed in future releases.

The settings menu allows you to select a preferred Kit Application install as your viewer.

Do Not Use Nucleus

Send to Omniverse will bypass Nucleus and save to the specified folder, OFF by default, must be OFF to use Live Workflow

Local Folder Path

Path to save files to when Do Not Use Nucleus is enabled

Commits the Changes and Closes the Window

Closes the Window and Discarding the Changes

Publish/Export Options

Description

Use Material Mapping

Uses the CSV file to map materials

Use SketchUp Materials

Uses the SketchUp material information

Use Component Mapping

Uses externally defined blocks for vegetation

Export visible only

If left unchecked, tags, components and groups marked invisible will also be exported

Export two sided materials

If a face has different paint or materials on each side, export both

Export Components and Groups as USD references

Creates prototypes for each Component and Group
