Skills
Basic programming skills such as Python, terminal commands, Github, React - Java Library, Visual Programming, and the basics of Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) composition.
Experience with 3D workflows.
Kit-Based Applications
Applications built using Kit are required to follow along with most of the sections in this guide. A suite of template applications are available that have been pre-configured to support the configurator workflows in this guide. Follow these steps to get access to the template applications:
Go to the kit-app-template git project and clone the project locally.
Follow the readme instructions supplied in the git project on how to properly build and launch the applications.
Build template versions of USD Composer and USD Viewer, which will both be used and referenced throughout this guide.

Tools, Libraries, and Frameworks
Git - Download Git and install with default options
VS Code - Standard installation of Visual Studio Code
Omniverse Kit SDK - Not required for this guide, but used by Kit app template.
