The next steps demonstrate how to preprocess (ingest) USD assets exported from DELTAGEN. The following steps can be modified and automated to accommodate the needs of your unique pipeline. This type of preprocessing is common for a variety of pipelines, not just configurators. Individual steps are unique to a pipeline.

The goal for preprocessing an asset is to understand how to provide consistent data in alignment with how a custom pipeline has been constructed and enable any tooling to operate smoothly through the rest of the pipeline. It also provides an opportunity to optimize for maximum functionality and performance.
