Asset Authoring
Pipeline Developer Pipeline Support
This phase, referred to as Authoring, includes any work involved with iterating on the look and feel of the asset by applying enhanced materials, adding and editing variants, and enhancing the visual aspects of the simulated environment. It is critical during this phase to leverage the power of USD composition to make non-destructive changes to the asset. This workflow is both flexible and fast, and allows multiple users to work in parallel while maintaining compatibility with the root files from earlier in the workflow. These root files, like ConceptCar_3xf_variants.usdc
, can even be updated after this point. The changes automatically show up downstream.

The completed files for this phase have been provided in the folder named Authored inside the 3_ConceptCar_Example_106.0.3
folder.
Note
The Variants file in this Authored folder have been edited to reference the Model USD file in the Ingest folder. This was performed to minimize duplicate files from phase to phase.
