Kit 109.0.1 Release Highlights#
Release Date: December 2025
Omniverse Kit SDK 109.0.1 is a feature-branch patch release targeting critical fixes and enhancements for Omniverse on DGX Cloud deployments, with the focus on stability, security, ARM support, and collaborative workflows.
Platform Stability and Security#
Foundation Improvements
Improved application stability with critical crash fixes for more reliable production deployments
Enhanced security hardening to prevent vulnerabilities and protect application data
Observability and Monitoring
Comprehensive OpenTelemetry (OTel) integration enables better monitoring and troubleshooting for cloud and enterprise deployments:
Crash Diagnostics: Crash logger integration with OTLP for improved crash reporting and analysis
Configurable Logging: Channel filters and environment variable configuration for OTel log listeners
External Tracing: Support for accepting external traceparent IDs to correlate Kit sessions with upstream services
Signal Management: Query functions to check if specific OTLP signals are enabled, with support for flushing signal queues on crash
Kit Platform Updates#
ARM Platform Support
Kit SDK now runs on ARM-based hardware, expanding deployment options to ARM servers and workstations. This enables Kit-based applications to leverage NVIDIA Grace CPUs and other ARM architectures for cloud and edge deployments.
Note: The following workflows are not yet supported on ARM due to third-party library dependencies: CAD Converter, XR, Point Clouds, and Animation Graph.
Developer Experience
Diagnostics Export: Copy and paste settings and loaded extensions directly from the About box to quickly gather diagnostic information for troubleshooting DGX Cloud deployments
Collaboration and Performance#
Live Session Improvements
Multiple Live Sync robustness fixes improve reliability in multi-user collaborative workflows
Fabric Scene Delegate
Improved correctness and reliability across rendering, animation, and geometry streaming workflows
Rendering and Sensors#
RTX Renderer Improvements
Critical bug fixes and performance improvements enhance rendering stability and quality:
Mesh Lights Performance: Resolved slowdowns when mesh lights are enabled
Light Rendering: Fixed photometric power calculations for sphere lights and IES angleScale behavior
Rendering Quality: Corrected screen corruption, material flickering, and translucent mesh rendering issues
Sensor Stability: Fixed sensor-related crashes and improved Generic Model Output utilities
Platform Support: Resolved DGX Spark rendering issues and GPU compatibility problems
Note: For comprehensive rendering details, see the RTX Renderer 109.0 Release Notes.
