Environment Types#
There are two methods for creating an environment:
Projected Environment Approach: Use a high dynamic range image (HDRI) projected onto a 3D mesh. This is the fastest method for crafting a stage, resulting in a highly performant, high-quality configurator. The steps to do this are detailed below.
Full Environment Approach: Arrange 3D props and objects to construct a stage. This approach provides more options for customizing the environment, but is more complex than a projected background.
Both methods result in a three-dimensional scene, and can also be used together. For example, you could project an image onto a mesh as the main backdrop, place the product in front of it, and place one or two 3D props in front of the product.
