begin_group

omni.kit.undo.begin_group()

Begin group of Commands.

Must be paired with a subsequent call to end_group(). Prefer the group() context manager whenever both calls fit in a single scope; these primitives exist for the cases where they cannot, such as a ``begin_edit()`` / ``end_edit()`` pair driven by two separate UI events.

If ``end_group()`` is never reached, every later command is nested inside the abandoned group, and a diagnostic naming this call site is logged once the group outlives ``/exts/omni.kit.commands/groupOpenWarningSeconds``.
