Prerequisites#

Required items:#

  • A Linux (Ubuntu) workstation

  • A Docker container of the Kit App built according to the containerization documentation.

  • An observability backend. This guide provides an example that configures Azure Monitor; steps to configure Grafana Cloud and Datadog will be published soon.

  • Vector is open-source and platform-specific tar.gz releases can be downloaded from Vector.

Note

While updated versions of Vector are released often, this documentation was verified with Vector version 0.46.1. This documentation will be updated as new versions are verified.
