RTX / NVIDIA IndeX Compositing#
This extension integrates NVIDIA IndeX with the RTX renderer (Real-Time and Interactive/Path-Tracing) by performing image-based compositing for Volume, Points and other prims that are rendered by IndeX.
After loading this extensions, go to “Render Settings / Common” and enable “NVIDIA IndeX Compositing” (no restart necessary).
Then select a Points or Volume prim, go to its “IndeX” section in the “Property” window and enable “Use IndeX compositing”. The prim will then be loaded and rendered by IndeX.
Configuration#
Available settings in “Render Settings / Common / NVIDIA IndeX Compositing”:
Depth Compositing: Controls depth-correct compositing.
Color Scaling: Scale factor that will be applied to the color values of the IndeX rendering output (brightness).
sRGB Conversion: Applies color space conversion to the IndeX rendering output. This can be used to adapt to the selected Tone Mapping operator.
Opacity Scaling: Scales the opacity of the entire IndeX rendering.
Resolution Scaling: Reduces the IndeX rendering resolution (in percent relative to the viewport resolution).
Rendering Samples: Number of samples per pixel used during rendering by IndeX (supersampling).
Default Point Width: Default point width for new point clouds loaded from USD. If set to 0, a simple heuristic will be used instead.
