  • USDZ export. To export to USDZ, simply change the file extension to .usdz. This is a preview of a community development effort currently under review at https://developer.blender.org/D15623.

  • When exporting to USDZ, an option was added to resize textures during export.

  • Blender file path can now be stored in Stage metadata.

  • Option to import USD shapes as meshes. Shapes with animated properties will be preserved through the Mesh Sequence Cache modifier.

  • Option to triangulate meshes on export.

  • A fix to correctly export curve widths.

  • A fix to ensure textures are exported for Cycles shaders.

  • Option to validate meshes during import. This will remove any invalid / non-manifold geometry that can cause crashes during mesh edit operations.

  • When importing without Validate Meshes enabled, a warning will be printed to the Info window if a suspected invalid mesh is imported.

  • Fix warnings when loading USD instance proxies.

  • Fix for no Geometry from deleted faces.

  • Fix for UDIM texture import failing for context-dependent paths.

  • Merge recent Blender 3.4 master branch changes (up to commit 0f7433a4).
