Measure Tool

Overview

The measure tool is a available currently in view as a beta feature. Currently, it can be used to query for distances between objects with a variety of options.

Usage

Activation

The measure tool can be activated by selecting Tool > Measure Tool.

General Use

  1. Select 2 primitives in the scene.

  2. Adjust the options as required for your measuring operation in the Measure panel.

  3. Press Measure Selected in the Measure panel.

  4. A measurement is then established denoting distance in the viewport.

  5. To delete the measurement select the Measurement in the viewport and press delete.

Options

Options exist to allow a variety of measuring considerations.

Visibility

Controls the global visibility of measurements in the viewport.

Color

Defines the color of the Measurement Indicators.

Units

Controls display of measurements in common units (centimeter, inch, millimeter, etc.)

Distance

Determines what method to use for measuring the objects.

World Axis

The axis of your secene world.

Precision

Determins how many decimal places to use before rounding.

Label Position

Determins the location of the measurement in relation to the measurement indicator.

Label Size

Determins the size and legibility of the display.

Measure Selected

Creates a Measurement between selected Primitives based on options above.
