Movie Capture for View¶
Movie Capture for View is an app specific extension for Omniverse View and allows you to easily render your output in high resolution images or movies in the format of your choice. This extension is auto-loaded into Omniverse View by Default.
Movie Capture Panel¶
The movie capture panel provides a number of settings to help you output movie sequences or single frame captures. Below is a list of the various settings and their usage.

Drives the sun study tool and records the output.

Camera

Selects the camera to be assumed for rendering the movie file.

Ratio
|
Width and Height adjustments to accommodate the Aspect Ratio.

The width in pixels of the rendered movie file.

- Height
|
The height in pixels of the rendered movie file.

- Ratio (Drop Down)
|
Selects the aspect ratio of the rendered movie file.

Frame Rate
|
Playback Rate in frames per second. Higher is smoother.

Time of Day
|
Selects the range of time to use in the sun study.

- Start Time
|
Sets the Sun Study time of day for the rendering to begin.
|
- End TIme
|
Sets the Sun Study time of day for the rendering to end.
|
Time Duration
|
Duration of the rendered movie file.
|
Render Preset
|
Sets the render quality of the rendered movie file.

Optimizes speed of render over quality.

Balances speed of rendering with quality.

Motion Blur
|
Sets the quality of the Motion Blur of the rendered movie file.

Where the rendered movie file will be created.

Sets the path of the rendered movie file.

Sets the extension of the rendered movie file.

- Save Alpha
|
Preserves alpha transparency in the rendered movie file.

Encoding Target
|
Sets the compression level of the rendered movie file.

|
Optimized compression for Hard Disk Drive playback.

Optimized compression for Web based playback.

Capture Image
|
Captures an Image with the current settings.

Make Movie
|
Begins the recording process.

Progress
|
Once started, shows the progress of the render.

|
How long the movie has been rendering.

- Estimated Time Remaining
|
Approximates render duration.

- Current Frame TIme
|
How long the current frame is taking to render.

- Average Time per Frame
|
The average time it takes to complete a frame render.

|
Time spent encoding.

Pause
|
Stops the current render but allows the render to be resumed.

Cancel
|
Stops the current render, any render progress will be lost.
